Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm & Zoo
Samutprakarn Crocodile Farm and Zoo is internationally renowned. It is situated 30 kilometres south east of central Bangkok, about 40 mins drive.
It contains the world’s largest crocodile measuring six meters (19 feet, 8 inches) and weighing 1114.27 kilograms (2465 pounds). This enormous crocodile, named Yai, is one among over 100,000 crocodiles at the world’s largest crocodile farm.
Visitors to the crocodile farm can see the crocodile nursery as well as a wide variety of animals, including elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, horses, and hippos.
There are hourly crocodile shows, where the handlers put their heads inside the crocodile’s mouth. Elephant shows display the dexterity of elephants as they walk tightropes, ride skateboards, and dance.
Visitors may also take short elephant ride, ride a train, enjoy a paddle boat ride, or explore the dinosaur museum.
Admission for adults is only 450 baht and for children is 250 baht.
Opening hours are from 07:00am to 18:00pm daily.
